Living Brass
For the brass works, the materials intrinsic properties are used to allow motifs to emerge through oxidation. Screen printing, acid painting, and controlled exposure are used to guide the oxidation process. The image unfolds through gradual stages of oxidation, revealing layered tones and soft gradients. Each piece continues to evolve slightly, making every work unique. The way each motif develops mirrors processes found in nature — growth, change, and the metamorphosis of plants and living forms. The warmth of brass, combined with organic imagery and playful shapes and patterns, brings the beauty of flora into a space. It creates a dialogue between inside and outside, real and surreal, shadow and light. – 2025
